Parliamentary Breakfast 2026

Working Group on Monitoring Methodologies (WGMM)

9 December, 2026

Members' Salon, EU Parliament, Brussels

Welcome!

We are pleased to invite you to the WGMM Parliamentary Breakfast 2026 on Wednesday, 9 December 2026, from 8:00 to 9:30 CET, at the Members' Salon of the European Parliament in Brussels.

The Working Group on Monitoring Methodologies (WGMM) is a voluntary collaboration of more than 50 stakeholders from across the automotive and fuel value chains. Since its launch in 2024, it has provided technical guidance and regulatory insights to EU institutions on CO₂ standards, fuel definition and the potential introduction of vehicles exclusively powered by eligible fuels (VEEFs).

The EU is currently revising the CO₂ performance standards for new cars and vans, and the file is moving toward a plenary vote in December. The breakfast is an opportunity to discuss the open political and technical questions around VEEFs, the definition of eligible fuels and practical monitoring methodologies with Members of the European Parliament, EU officials and industry representatives.

The event will be held under the Chatham House Rule. Breakfast and networking are included, with vegetarian options available.

We look forward to welcoming you in Brussels!

Best regards,

The WGMM Secretariat
